Happy 2nd Birthday Austin!

2 years ago today...Austin was born!

Austin, we are alike in so many ways...it's so fun to see that as you grow. You have my teeth (they are bigger than Daddy's & sissy's.) You have my hair texture & color. You have my eye color & my dimples. You are built big & strong like Daddy. You are left footed when you kick the ball. You still use both your right & left hands interchangeably right now.

You love to play outside. You beg me daily to go out and play. You sit in the sandbox and concentrate on shoveling, sifting, scooping, and burying yourself. You take sand out of the box all the time and dump it onto the porch. Sissy has taught you to climb over the top of the Little Tykes house to get to the slide. (It still makes me a little nervous!) You can dribble the soccer ball some and you throw the ball alot. You like to run and play chase. You've learned to play hide-and-seek with me and sissy...you tell me where she is all the time! ;)

Your favorite TV shows are Diego, Max & Ruby, and Wonder Pets. You ask to watch The Lion King anytime it's your turn to pick the movie. You play the Frog Game on your own or with us regularly. You build with your blocks and play with your toys by yourself. You ask us to build your train set almost daily and love to make the train go around. You eventually destroy it for fun. ;) You still love to sit inside things...like your tent, the laundry basket, between the couches, or inside the upside-down-stool. You like to try on our shoes. You love music and you ask us to turn the iPod on so that we can dance.

You can sing along to the ABC's, Jingle Bells, Twinkle Twinkle, Wheels on the Bus, and Jesus loves me. You like to count...I've heard you count to 20. You are really good at building things and putting things together. You are good with shapes and puzzles too. Your favorite things to say are, "Come on Mommy, wess go!" and "I wunt sum." and "Me too" and "Here you go Mommy" and "I see you Mommy" and "All gone Mommy. Trash." and of course "no."

You learned this week to crawl out of your crib. You skillfully climbed out in about 3 sec flat and did it 6 times at naptime on Monday and 2 times that night. You did not nap Tuesday or today. You kept climbing out of bed and are so very proud of yourself.

You like to unwrap your own suckers, you've refused to sit in your booster chair...you want to sit in a chair like us, you love salsa & ketchup & hotdogs & orange juice & sprite, you feed Sully under the table, you love to ride horsey, play with our shoes, and wrestle with Daddy.

You throw some pretty good tantrums these days and you still come running to Mommy & Daddy when you are scared. You love to cuddle with your blanket and your stuffed animals.

You and Jasmine fight all the time...but also hug and laugh and chase and play too! She loves you and you love her so much.
