Happy 1st Birthday Austin!

Wow! One year ago today...at 5:45pm...we went from a family of 3 to 4! Austin was born into this world as a strapping 8lb 10 oz, blue-eyed, dark-haired little boy. He has brought so much joy to me as I have watched him grow and learn and observe the world around him.

He is mostly laid back with a sense of determination that is growing stronger each day. He has had a spark of awareness that has really come to life in the past few weeks. Daddy asked Austin "where's the moon?" last night and Austin pointed to it multiple times. He shakes his head "no" when he doesn't want something. He points when he likes something he sees. He knows the dogs by name and which one is which. He and Sully are Big Buds...probably because Austin loves to feed him! (and if you know Sully...he waits at attention until something is dropped his way!) Each time we walk into the garage he points and grunts at our new fish FiFi that Daddy brought home from fishing one day...which Jasmine named after the broom-maid on Beauty & the Beast. When we asked her if it was a boy or girl...she said boy. So Yes, we have a boy fish named FiFi! :)

Austin is walking much more confidently these days. He loves to "walk at" his sister and then use her for balance...which usually results in screaming, 2 kids falling on the floor, and me trying to explain that Austin didn't pull her hair on purpose.

I love my little boy with such a deep love! He is such a blessing in my life and I thank God for the little family he's given me.
