People have been asking me for months what we were going to do for sleeping arrangements in our house. For months...I have told people that I didn't know what to do. Well...the week after Christmas we decided it had to be done. Samantha has outgrown her cradle and needs to be moved to a crib....more importantly...in her own room! So...after deciding we'd be in this house a little while longer...we did it...we bought...
BUNK BEDS!
Thanks to Craigslist, we found this great set of bunk beds originally from Rooms to Go that were only 2 years old. We liked the idea of having "stairs" to get to the top bunk rather than a ladder for this age. So, we found them online, Jason picked them up, he built them, I went and bought sheets...and ta da! The kids were so excited! Austin wanted to sleep on the top bunk, but we decided for now that Jasmine would be up there. We hung the blanket on the bottom (if you're wondering) to show Austin how cool the "fort" could be. :)
Miss Samantha is in "the pink room" now.
We took apart Jasmine's bed and rebuilt the crib. (love those convertible beds!) It was so fun getting all of this bedding back out from when Jasmine was a baby. Ahhh...that seems like forever ago and just yesterday all at the same time. :)
We've kept all of the toys in the room and we are adjusting really well. ;)

How fun! So glad you found such a great deal on a nice set of bunk beds! :)
Looks great! We live in 1,000 square feet and people have asked us how we do it and I think we do it just like you -- you just figure a way with what you have! Those bunk beds look really nice and sturdy. Glad you are enjoying being Mommy to 2!
