We had a great time in Galveston this weekend. We picked up my parents at 10:00am Friday morning and headed to my brother's house in Houston. We beat most of the storms Friday, but that night it really rained hard! We got up Saturday and dressed for the beach...even though it was pouring down hard! We traveled to Galveston for over an hour. We knew we'd have to see how the day went. We checked out the beach before lunch. It was a little cool, very cloudy, and the sky was dark. The kiddos got in the water...but not for long. We packed it up to head back to the beach house for lunch. The storms moved in and the wind got very cold. The day was not looking too promising. BUT...thankfully...after a couple of hours (and our picnic lunch)...the sun came out and the rain moved on! Yea! I was so glad that we got to go back for the afternoon.
The kiddos had a great time. We spent most of our time in the sand. Jasmine & Austin weren't too sure of the big, giant ocean. Evie on the other hand LOVED it. All in all...we spent several hours playing in the sand, looking for seashells, and just enjoying our time together! It was so much fun seeing the 3 cousins together!
